"Underworld: Awakening" Directors Talk "Swedish Cults"

Swedish directing team Måns Mårlind and Björn Stein set out for another horror story after their #1 box office hit "Underworld: Awakening".

Their next project brings them closer to home as they will be filming "Swedish Cults", a short story collection in the vein of H.P. Lovecraft.

Mårlind and Stein have been working on a script for a couple of years now together with the book's writer, Anders Fager.

- It has become an international story now. We have taken his world and placed it around the world, not only Sweden. But it still has it's the Swedish connections at the core, Mårlind tells MovieZine.

Mårlind and Stein decided to follow up the "Underworld" success with a smaller feel-good flick: "Shed No Tears" will open in Scandinavia this Summer. They are hoping to make "Swedish Cults" their next feature, or maybe something even bigger:

- It could become the new "Lord of the Rings", Stein says with a laugh.
